Award2Yesterday, Rep. Quigley received the Polish American Congress Medal of Freedom following his remarks to the Polish American Congress Council of National Directors. The medal was awarded to Rep. Quigley for his extraordinary achievements and dedication to the betterment of the Polish-American community in the United States and the people of Poland. While the U.S.-Poland relationship is strong, Rep. Quigley is working hard in Congress to strengthen it even further.

Attached are some photos from Rep. Quigley’s remarks and award presentation. Feel free to share as you see fit. And please let me know if you’d like to speak to Rep. Quigley about his work in this area further. A little more about his work is below.

Rep. Quigley has been a staunch advocate for expanding the Visa Waiver Program to Poland since his arrival to Congress in 2009. He first spearheaded bipartisan and bicameral legislation with Senator Kirk and BestRep. Lipinski in 2011. In January 2012, Rep. Quigley traveled to Poland to discuss ways to further enhance the U.S.-Polish partnership, including advancing the VWP legislation, and testified before Congress on the benefits of including Poland and other diplomatic partners in the program. Most recently, Rep. Quigley introduced the Jobs Originating through Launching Travel (JOLT) Act, a bipartisan effort to spur tourism, create jobs, reform outdated visa laws and increase national security.
